When I went on maternity leave with my third, my husband and I tried a new coffee shop each week. My youngest was born in April, my favorite time of year to have a baby, so we could bring her along and not worry about the cold weather. Here’s a few of our favorite coffee shops we found!
Our Favorite Cafes
Craft Coffee House
We love Craft! Located in Pendleton and locally owned by two Air Force veterans, they have THE best lattes! They partner with local farms to source their food. Pendleton Park is located right next door and a perfect way for your kids to burn energy!
- FOOD: Breakfast sandwich or the Todd Packer (everything bagel with hashbrown, bacon, egg and cream cheese!)
- DRINKS: Banana Bread Latte…it’s everything and more
Mojo Market
Their food and drinks are incredible. During the summer months, you can order to go at their window outside or dine inside. Heads up, Mojo is closed on Sundays and Mondays!
- FOOD – House Fave egg sandwich with garlic aioli
- DRINK – Cinnamon French Toast latte or Salted Chocolate Tahini latte
- You can ask for less syrup if you prefer less sugar like me.
Penny’s Coffee Shop
We stumbled upon this coffee shop when we had our youngest. It’s across the street from O’Shei Children’s Hospital which is SO convenient! (hospital coffee is absolute trash) iykyk. Their interior decor is so cute, they put a lot of effort into it!
- FOOD – Chicken pesto sandwich
- DRINK – They rotate their seasonal lattes often but my last order was a cold brew with toasted marshmallow cold foam…it was heavenly
Jack’s Corner Cafe
Locally owned and located in downtown Buffalo, I loved the vibe of this cafe. The owner cashed me out, made my latte and cooked my avocado toast (MUST GET!).
- FOOD: Avocado toast – made with over easy egg and balsamic drizzle…I’m drooling thinking about it.
- DRINK: Classic latte with oat milk. They have other specialties if you’re interested in something special. The cinnamon sugar latte was my second choice.
Little Black Heart Coffee
I love that North Tonawanda has local coffee shops. I will always love Starbucks but I prefer to support our local businesses! Little Black Heart serves only vegan products so you won’t find regular dairy here, which is fine for me.
- DRINK: Iced latte with one pump of Cinnamon Bun (clearly I like cinnamon lol). They had a ton of syrups to choose from and also serve tea!
- I loved that they were willing to do anything I wanted with my coffee!

New Day Coffee Roasters
This is our go to business for coffee beans. We grind our own at home but they will grind it for you in the store! New Day is a locally owned business and offers fundraising opportunities for any program.
