Brooklyn
Last summer, I took a trip to visit my friend Marie in the city. I kid you not, every time I visit, she brings us to a book shop or cafe that seems to be my next favorite. Maybe it’s the city or maybe it’s her! I’m definitely a city girl; I could visit New York a thousands times and never get bored. This trip, I found some of my favorite book shops in Brooklyn.

inspired between the pages
I don’t know about you, but I’m a reader. If a book catches my eye, I add it to my collection and plan to read it another day. It builds such a warm and happy feeling, I’m obsessed. Check out my favorite books here! Meanwhile, my shelves have more books unread than read but I’ll never run out. There’s more book shops to discover in the city, but when I left these stores I was seriously inspired to open my own.

McNally Jackson
There’s five locations in the city, we visited the one in downtown Brooklyn. The displays and organization in this shop are incredible (does Barnes and Noble even have a system??). Ultimately, I scanned nearly every book on my Goodreads app so my TBR list is well over 100 books!
An added bonus was their stationary section. I have a bunch of their pens in my office . If you’re type A, you’ll love this store!
book culture
This book store is HUGE. It has two floors and a children’s selection in the basement. I came across the book ‘Caps for Sale’ by Esphyr Slobodkina which brought me back to my childhood. Reminiscing, I had such happy memories I couldn’t resist purchasing it. Turns out my girls love it just as much!
My favorite part about Book Culture is their Blind Date with a book. They wrap a variety of genres in paper and give a few descriptions on the cover. I unwrapped the Huntress which is one of my favorite books! 5/5
Like McNally’s, Book Culture had the cutest blank occasion cards. I’ve used them for birthdays and weddings and always get compliments!
Are you on Goodreads?
Check out my favorite books and follow me on Goodreads! I can never pass up the opportunity when Target has their buy two get one free book sale. Plus, their books always seem to be cheaper?? I’m not complaining.
Hey people!!!!!
Good mood and good luck to everyone!!!!!
